Who We Are

Atlanta Hardwood Corporation, which goes to market as AHC Hardwood Group, specializes in providing premium domestic and exotic hardwoods to customers throughout the U.S. and around the world. In recent years, we expanded our facilities at Clarksville, Tennessee and Cleveland, Georgia, incorporating some of the most innovative technology available in the industry. We made a strategic move to increase capacity by 300% to meet the growing demand for value-added secondary manufacturing. Our ability to change and adapt to meet the needs of our customers, and the evolving landscape of our world, allowed us to grow from a single drying yard to a world-class, value-added manufacturer.

Secondary Manufacturing

Over the years, our focus has shifted, increasing our presence in the area of secondary manufacturing, extending our reach beyond wholesale hardwood lumber.

Cypress Siding and Paneling

As the world’s largest producer of cypress siding, AHC Hardwood Group offers solutions for both interior and exterior applications. Cypress is a durable and attractive wood that resists decay without chemical treatment and is ideally suited for paneling, siding, trim and furniture.

Import and Export Capabilities

AHC Hardwood Group ships Appalachian hardwood lumber throughout the world and also imports the finest African and South American hardwoods available. Our fully integrated process allows us to control quality from rough green lumber through sales.

What We Offer

Today, with the state-of-the-art technology we’ve implemented, we can provide flexibility to our customers with a diverse and consistent supply of products, including cut-to-length S4S boards and mouldings, trim, cabinet components, window and door parts, solid-plank flooring, paneling and siding. We also offer more than 50 species of domestic and imported hardwoods and specialty softwoods and are able to address the needs of architects, designers and manufacturers in domestic and global markets.

Kiln Drying Yards

AHC operates advanced kiln drying facilities in Clarksville, Tennessee and Cleveland, Georgia. With more than two million board- feet of kiln capacity, our comprehensive kiln drying capabilities ensure that customers receive premium, stable and durable hardwood products tailored to their specific needs.

Lunawood ThermoWood®

Lunawood products are thermally modified using only natural methods, heat and steam. Thermal modification significantly improves the wood’s properties, with Lunawood ThermoWood most known for its dimensional stability, durability and sustainable nature.

About Us

After more than 70 years in the lumber business, we are recognized as one of the preeminent lumber companies in the Southeast. We were originally founded as Howard Lumber in 1952. In the 1960s, Atlanta Hardwood became the sales arm for Howard Lumber. Today, our kiln drying yards and production facilities operate as AHC Hardwood Group. We process and distribute more than 30 million board-feet of hardwood lumber worldwide each year.
