With in-house kiln capacity and state-of-the-art secondary manufacturing capabilities, we are able to offer our customers width sorting, surfacing, straight-line ripping, gang-ripping, cut-to-length defecting, mouldings, and thermally modified products in cladding and decking. Also included among our services are mixed loads of lumber with consistent quality across all species, expert packaging, and overseas freight services.

About Us

After more than 70 years in the lumber business, we are recognized as one of the preeminent lumber companies in the Southeast. Originally founded as Howard Lumber in 1952. In the 1960s, Atlanta Hardwood became the sales arm for Howard Lumber. Today, with two kiln drying yards operating under AHC Hardwood Group, we process, distribute and manufacture value-added components, and export more than 30 million board-feet of hardwood lumber each year. We carry our commitment to excellence to extraordinary levels with a fully integrated process that allows us to control quality from rough green lumber through various sales channels to value-added products including thermally modified lumber and gang-rip blanks, siding and paneling, cut-to-length components, and custom mouldings.
